VENDEX AG

Vape Heaven GmbH was founded in 2017 by Mario and Tiziana Puppo. The company took over the sole proprietorship that was established back in 2009. Since 2022, Vape Heaven GmbH has transitioned into VENDEX AG. VENDEX AG operates both the Vape Heaven locations and the B2B business under VENDEX.CH.

Vape Heaven Uster

After about 4 months of renovation, we celebrated the opening of our first location, Vape Heaven Uster, on August 18, 2017, at Zürichstrasse 5. We were delighted to welcome many people, some of whom we still meet in the city of Uster years later.

Sales from Age 18

Since Tiziana and Mario have children, they decided to sell only to adults from the first day of sales. This was never a problem for us; it was a given. The goal has always been to help adult smokers quit.

The team and product selection have continuously evolved with customer needs, as we place great importance on personal advice and support during the transition to vaping.

Vape Heaven Effretikon

In August 2019, we opened our second location, Vape Heaven Effretikon. Until that point, we had not focused much on the online shop, as nothing beats personal consultation.

However, not long after, COVID-19 unexpectedly brought new challenges to the world and to us. As we were able to remain open as a basic supplier (no lockdown), many customers understandably focused on online orders. We used the consulting-free time to completely renew our shop VAPE.CH. We quickly celebrated many successes there and were able to serve our customers in this rather unfamiliar way at any time.

Impact of COVID-19

We quickly realized that the need for storage space had changed significantly due to COVID-19. Extremely slow and sometimes completely interrupted supply chains prompted us to rent more storage space to ensure uninterrupted availability of products for our customers.

A few months later, we already had the next need for storage space. Despite an intensive search in and around Uster, we unfortunately couldn't find anything optimal. Therefore, we expanded our search and found a solution in Wetzikon. Since November 2022, this has been our main warehouse, which we have also equipped with a pick-up point in Wetzikon. This allowed us to relinquish other storage locations, creating many synergies to better serve our customers in stores and online.

B2B / ERP

At the end of 2021, we also started selling to retailers (B2B) due to steady demand, and we already had corresponding storage capacities and product selections. For this purpose, and for many other reasons, such as being able to show our customers current stock online, we implemented a powerful ERP system in mid-2022. This system is directly connected to the online shop and the point-of-sale systems of our stores.
