Technology & operation

The Caliburn G3 makes it particularly easy for you to get started. An integrated OLED display shows you all the important information at a glance - from the battery level to the current wattage. You can choose between automatic power adjustment or manual setting - depending on your preference.

With two modes (automatic draw & button), the G3 can be used individually. It primarily supports liquids with a 50/50 mixing ratio and is therefore ideal for nicotine salt-based liquids.

Flavor & pods

The new Caliburn G3 pods have integrated mesh coils and offer you a clean, intense aroma - with consistent vapor development. Two pods are included in the scope of delivery:

0.6 Ω for a little more vapor & open MTL draw
0.9 Ω for classic MTL vaping with a tighter draw

Upgrade mit Abstrichen
Habe den G3 nun seit knapp einem Monat, als Upgrade vom Vorgänger G2. Das Gerät ist grösser und dicker und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Das grössere Füllmenge ist meiner Meinung nach ein grosses Plus. Der Akku hat auch mehr Kapazität, allerdings hat sich dies bei mir nicht in längeren Laufzeiten niedergeschlagen, was an den niedrigeren Widerständen der Pods liegen dürfte.

Die Pods.. Nun, die Coils sind nicht mehr austauschbar. Zudem fällt das praktische Befüllen von oben weg. Es kann nur noch zwischen zwei fixen Zugwiderständen gewählt werden.
Überlebte, bei mir, beim G2 ein Pod etwa 3 Ersatz
SCoils, ist dies beim G3 leider kein Thema mehr. Davon kann man halten was man will.. Das Nachfüllen ist definitiv umständlicher ABER das G3 ist bei mir allgemein viel sauberer / dichter als noch der G2 - ein grosses Plus!

Zwei unbequeme Erlebnisse hatte ich schon mit den Pods: Nach etwa einer Woche wurde ein Pod nicht mehr erkannt - No atomizer. Reinigen brachte nichts, alle Kontakte waren sauber und das Gerät nie heruntergefallen.

Heute fühlte sich das Dampfen anders an - plötzlich zeigte der G3 11w, 1.2ohm an. Bei einem 0.9ohm Pod. Die 1.2ohm Pods sind zwar angekündet, aber noch gar nicht erhältlich^^. Jetzt dampft der 0.9ohm Pod halt mit weniger Leistung, bis ich den auch entsorge..

Solche Dinge, gepaart mit wegwerf-Pods, hinterlassen einen nicht wirklich nachhaltigen Nachgeschmack.

Alles in allem bin ich aber durchaus zufrieden mit dem Gerät.
