Good to Know: What is Charas?

Charas comes in different shapes and colors. The main difference between charas and conventional hash is that charas is not obtained from kief (i.e. dried and collected trichomes), but from Fresh cannabis resin. Traditionally, to obtain charas, individual fresh cannabis flowers are rubbed in the hands until the still moist resin is transferred to the palms of the hands. The resin is then slowly separated from the hands by repeated rubbing. The resulting resin is particularly soft and creamy, and due to the time-consuming process of extraction, charas is a particularly fine hashish product.
